The Board of. Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board,
Friday, September 12 , 1947, at 9 a. m. Messrs . Earl Keisker,
S . W. Hodgin, and Winfield Urban being present the following
proceedings were had to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police , Mr. Keisker
moved that a space for three cars be limited to 15 minute
parking in front of the C 0 Passenger Station on North 3rd
Street . Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was so ordered.
Upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, Mr. Hodgin
moved and Er. Keisker seconded that the Clerk of the Board
be instructed to notify the Light Plant to install street lights
on North C Street between North 8th and North 9th Streets , and
at the intersection of South 4th and B Streets .
Mr. Keisker moved that the Community Chest be permitted to
place collars around the light poles providing that the Municipal
Light Plant will agree . Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was so
ordered.
Mir. Hodgin moved that permission be granted to Lewis Dentaman
to tap into the Southeast trunk sewer on payment of 30.00 .
MTr. Keisker seconded it and it was so ordered.
The letter received from D1`. Taylor, County Health
Officer, relative to garbage dumping was referred to the City
Attorney.
Mr. I-Iodgin moved that new blinds be purchased for the
various offices in the City Building where needed. Mr.
Keisker seconded it and it was so ordered.
Mr. Keisker moved that school zone signs be replaced on
2nd and Randolph Streets and 4th and Randolph Streets under
the supervision of the Street Commissioner. Mr . Hodgin
seconded it and it was so ordered.
Upon the recommendation of the Street Commissioner, the
Clerk was instructed to notify Mrs . Opal Klein to repair the
sidewalk at 603 Main Street . -
Mr. '-eisker moved that the request of the Lavey Company
to construct a ramp from their building out into Neff Street, be
granted. Mr. Hodgin seconded and it was so ordered.
After allowinm claims in the amount of 4 10,031.OS, upon
proper motion the hoard adjourned.

The report of the appraisers , Paul L. Riley, Vf. Glenn Hamilton,
and Guy L. Campbell , appointed by the jud„e to fix the value of
the dwellin ; house recently purchased by the City i.iorth of
the Street ✓e?oartment araye was received . The value fixed
by the A_praisers was three hundred ( r300 .00) dollars . It
was moved by i;ir. A=e_i.sker and seconded by i .r . Hod ;in that
