AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A STORM
SEWER IMPROVEMENT TAX DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MEDINA, MINNESOTA ORDAINS AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I. Background: Findings.
1.01. The City is authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Sections 444.16 — 444.21 (the "Act") to
establish a storm sewer improvement tax district (the "District") to acquire, construct, reconstruct,
extend, maintain and otherwise improve storm sewer systems and related facilities within the
District in accordance with the Act, and to finance such activities by ad valorem taxes levied on
property within the District.
1.02. It is found and determined that it is in the best financial interests of Medina and its
storm water management program that the District be established. The District shall be comprised
of the land within Medina legally described as follows:
The East 47.51 acres of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14,
Township 118, Range 23 West of the 5t Principal Meridian.
Section H. Establishment: Authorizations.
2.01. The Tuckborough Ridge Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District is established. The
city shall have all powers and authority conferred by the Act in the operation of the District.
2.02. The boundaries of the District are as described above.
2.03. The City Administrator -Clerk is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this
ordinance with the Auditor and Recorder of Hennepin County.
Section III. This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption and publication.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Medina this 15th day of January, 2008.
