HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-18-1947 160 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 1947 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board, Friday, April 18, 1947, at 9 A. M. Messrs . Earl Keisker; S. W. Hodgin, and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. jvir. A. T. Klingebiel, 317 Northwest 1st Street, appeared before the Board requesting to buy .a portion of City owned land fronting on Northwest First Street. Mr. Keisker moved that this matter be "referred to the Board as a whole . Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was so ordered. M. y. Hull, of the Greyhound Bus Lines appeared before the Board requesting permission to have the light company to remove the light pole in front of the property at 26 South 8th Street . This was referred to the Board. Mr. 011ie Estelle , 200 American Trust Bldg. ask permission to put in wooden awnings along Main Street. This was referred to the Board, who later decided that they had no objection. Mr. Keisker moved that Maurice Wisets resignation from the Police Department be accepted as of April 16. Mr. Hodgin seconded it and it was so ordered. Fire Chief Williams appeared before the Board requesting permission to put in 220 Volt power in the No. 4 Hose House . The Board authorized him to make the installation. A petition was received from Don E. Warfel requesting permission to cut the curb for drivewayon East side South 6th Street just South of bouth E Street. The same being approved. This being the day and date set as advertised for; receiving of bids for the erection of a club house at the. Municipal Ball Park, Mr. Hodgin reported that no bids had been received.
