OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAFETY CITY OF 1-'ICifMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 1947 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the board, Friday,
February 21, 1947, at 9 A. M. Messrs . Earl Keisker, S . V. Hodgin,
I/
and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had
to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Sam Champion reported that he has given Mr. Arno Lowdenslaggcr
permission to cut the tree down at 542. Korth 19th Street .
Mr. Hodgin reported progress on the Market House .
Fire Chief Le's Williams reported that No. 1 fire truck is out
of order and is awaiting repair parts .
Er. Champion also reported that they needed more coal at the
Park Department . He was instructed tb order coal from Mr. Sam Jaffe
under the contract .
The woman in the house _in Glen. Miller_ reported that two rooms
needed papering. Mr. Champion was instructed to obtain estimates and then
have it done if the funds were available .
August Schneider filed a complaint with the Board that the
shrubbery at the home of H. H. Pennington on 129 Northwest I hangs
out on the sidewalk to the annoyance of people using the sidewalk.
This matter was referred to the Street Commissioner.
After allowing claims in the amount of „,30,236 .30, upon proper
motion the Board adjourned.
