FRIDAY, JANUARY 24 , 1947
. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the
Board, Friday, January 24, 1947, at 9 A . H. Messrs . Earl
Keisker, S . W. Hod gin and Winfield Urban being present the
following proceedings were had to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and
approved.
Mr. Champion reported that the end section of the
park greenhouse boiler had started leaking but had been
plugged up temporarily. This is the third section of the
boiler that has gone bad. Mr. Urban reported that the
insurance company has agreed to pay claim for two sections of
the boiler but will pay no further claim until a new boiler is
installed. This matter was referred to the City Engineer and
City Attorney for investigation.
Mr. Champion also reported that the log cabin in the
West Seventh Street Park had been broken into and damaged,
presumably by school boys . He reported this to the principal
of Dennis High School . This matter vas referred to the
Police Department.
After allowing claims in the amount of ;} �� ' 86 , upon
proper motion the board adjourned.
Earlham College ask permission to stretch a banner across
Main Street . The Board approved this request with the provisal
that suitable Public Liability Insurance be furnished the City.
