HomeMy Public PortalAbout150_060_Tybee Island Planning and Zoninig Finalist Search Finalized - 2011 Tybee Island Planning and Zoning Manager Search Finalized Regarding the Search: The position was advertised started in July of 2011. The city advertised on the Georgia Municipal Association Website and the city’s website. There were 22 total applicants for the position and seven applicants were selected for first interviews based on their educational and training background as a potential Planning and Zoning Manager for Tybee Island. Of the seven applicants interviewed, three were certified with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and two were attorneys. Four applicants of those applicants were selected for second interviews. The final four had strong qualifications for the position and one was AICP certified. The four finalists gave a presentation to city hall staff on customer service and land development so that their presentation could be evaluated as part of the selection process.
