FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1946
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Rich-
mond, Indiana met in regular session in the office of the Board
Friday, ' November 8, 1946 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs . rJinfield
Urban, Karl teisker and S. W. Hodgin. being present, the follow-
ing proceedings were had to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
l,"r. Burkhardt reported that Mr. William E. strange at
23 South 12th Street has the alley blocked with dirt which he
removed from his lot while excavating for a basement. The Clerk
of the Board was authorized to notify Mr. Strange that the alley
must be cleared.
Fire Chief Williams reported that the matter of the trash
in the alley between the Second rational Bank and the Brown,
Motor Co. has been taken care of.
Upon recommendation of the kiity engineer the request of
Mrs . R. E. Martin for a six inch water line to be placed from
a point halfway between 0 and P Streets in ighth Street to
Q Street, was approved. Also a hydrant at Q Street.
Mr. Kei sker moved that the request of Mr. H. ulark to
close 5th Street between H and I Streets for two days for the
purpose of hauling dirt be granted. lir. urban seconded the
motion and it was so ordered.
The hour of 9:30 pursuant to notice having arrived and no
objections received with reference to the vacation of an alley,
Resolution 1i3, 1946, the Board ordered that the property owner
affected in the petition for same be notified as to expenses in
connection therewith.
After all w ing claims in the amount of 4,901.73, upon
proper motion the Board adjourned.
