OF RICHMOND, INDIANA , FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1946 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Rich- mond, Indiana met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday, October 11, 1946 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs . Winfield, Earl Keisker and S. W. Hodgin being present, the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Keisker moved and Mr. Urban seconded upon recommendat',on of the Chief of the Fire Department and the Board of Trustees of the Fireman' s Pension Fund that James Kortwri=ght be reinstated as a fireman. as, of November 1, 1946 providing he passes the necessary , physical examination. A request was received from Chris J. Bailey for the instal- lation of stop signs at 16th and South B Street. Street Commissioner Burkhardt reported that there is a stop sign controlling east bound traffic and the stop sign controlling west bound traffic is 1 being installed. Frank Campbell, Foreman from 'the Municipal Electric Light and Power Plant, announced that it is impossible to put • the light in between D and E streets on South West 3rd Street for. the reason that he cannot get an easement over private property to extend his lines . . 9:30 the hour set for the receiving of bids pursuant to the 1 advertisement for automobiles and an ambulance fb r the Police pp Department and none being received Mr. Urban moved and ; r.
