PUBLIC .ORKS • AND SAFETY, CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 1946 i The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session' in the office of the Board Friday, October 4, 1946 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs . Winfield Urban, Earl Leisker, and S. W. Hodgin being present, the following proceedings were hat to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The contractor who is building the C . & 0. R. R. bridge appeared before the Board to secure permission to close Washington Avenue between 6th Street and the Boulevarde for a period of 30 days or less beginning Monday October 7, 1946 . Mr. -1odgin moved that the permission be granted, Mr. Keisker sedonded the motion and it was so ordered. Upon recommendation of Fire Chief Williams Mr. Urban moved and Mr. Keisker seconded that the resignation of Russell Stephenson of the Richmond Fire Department be accepted to take effect October 11 . It was so ordered. Mr. Urban moved and Mr. Keisker seconded that the clerk of the Board be authorized to advertise for the purchase of air diffusion equ pment for aeriation tanks and sewage treatment works , copies of plans and specifications to be on file in the City Engineers office and the office of the Sewage Disposal Plant, bids to be r_ ceived October 25. It was so ordered. It was moved by Mr. Urban and seconded by T�Irs` Keisker that the list of fire and casualty insurance agents eligible for the year of, 1946 in the distribution agreement as submitted by John R.. Britten, Mayor on October 2, 1946 be accepted. It was so ordered.
