HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-27-1946 1') OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, CITY OF RICUyOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, SEPTLP¢BER 27 , 1946 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday, September 27, 1946 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs . Winfield Urban, Earl ' Keisker, and S. W. Hodgin being present , the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Police Chief Duckett reported that he-r:thought the request of the Publix Cab Co. to place a cab stand at 15 North 7th St . should be granted. • Mr. Urban moved and Mr. Keisker seconded that the Clerk of the Board be authorized to advertise for the purchase .of three or less light weight coach or sedan automobiles with trade in allowance on two 1942 chevrolet automobiles , one medium weight coach or sedan automobile , trade in allowance on one 1942 Chrysler coach and one ambulance for the Police Department in accordance with specifications on file with the clerk of the Board, along with regular legal proceedings . It was so ordered. Mr. Keisker moved that the proper advertisement be inserted in the newspaper asking for bids on the fire truck pursuant to spec- ifications submitted by Fire Chief Williams and that the bidders be instructed to accompany their bids with a certified check for not less than 1,000 . Mr. Urban seconded the motion and it was so ordered. Mr. Burkhardt requested that the City Attorney prepare an ord- inance for the transfer of 0_25 in the Health and Sanitation Supply Accounts and 05 in his Special Street Supply Accounts .
