HomeMy Public PortalAbout08-16-1946 11_4 OFFICE OF TIM BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 1946 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday, August 16, 1946 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs . Winfield Urban and S. W. Hodgin being present , the following proceedings were had to wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. I/ Mr. Jentry Cole appeared before the Board with an application for moving building bearing the signature of Stanley C. Smith, Building Inspector approving the same . Mr. Urban moved that the permit to move the property from North 18th & J Streets to 1644 North J Street be granted according to the specifications in the application with the understanding that a -fe°l -r—( ;0.fl.a0 -/ bond be delivered to the Board before moving is started. Mr. Hodgin seconded the motion and it was so ordered. A letter was received by the Board from Robert R. Brown requesting that his resignation as a member of the Richmond Indiana Police Department be accepted as of August 23, 1946 as he wishes to enter into other employment. Mr. Urban moved that it be accepted, Mr. Hodgin seconded the motion and it was so ordered. A petition signed by Everett M. Bishop was received requesting permission to cut the curb at the southeast corner of West Main & Fifth Street, the proposed Post Office Building . Permission wa.s granted by the Board. A petition was received signed by James McClain requesting per m mission to cut the curb at entrance on South 2nd Street on side of property on 200 South B Street. Permission was granted by the Board. After allowing claims in the amount of $6,068.70, upon proper motion, the Board adjourned. Yresiden Attest: Secretary
