AND SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, MAY 17 , 1946
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the Ciety of Richmond,
Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday, 11/
May 17 , 1946, at 9 :00 A.M. Present were Messrs . S . W. Hodgin,
Earl Keisker and Winfield Urban: The following proceedings were
had to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Keisker reported, in regard to the complaint on the
Meyer Drug Co. , that their ventilating system is now installed
except for the last duct. This will do away with the open iron
doors on the sidewalk.
Lucian Beaver, State Highway Policeman, made a complaint, on
behalf of a group of citizens on the West Side, against the dump-
ing of dust from the Swayne Robinson Co. , claiming that this dust
was blowing into their homes . Mr. Robinson, of the Swayne Robinson
Co. , was contacted and he agreed to dump the dust at another location.
A request was received from Mr. Addington for a street light
on Northwest A midway between Easthaven Avenue and the west corpor-
ate limit . Mr. Keisker moved and Mr. Urban seconded the motion that '
this request be granted and that the light plant should be so noti-
fied.
After allowing claims in the amount of h3-",6-,7®-®/ , upon pro-
per motion the Board adjourned.
