OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC MRKS
AND SAFETY CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA ,
FRIDAY, APR IL 26, 1946
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board Fri-
day, April 26 , 1946 at 9 A.M. Present were Messrs . S . W. lIodgin,
Earl Keisker and Winfield Urban: the following proceedings .were
had to wit:
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.,
Fire Chief Williams reported that he did not- think it nec-
essary to order water installed on South 3,rd from M to N.
Mr. Keisker moved that there be parking restrictions placed
on both sides of South B Street between 7th and 8th Sts ., Mr.
Urban seconded the motion and it was so ordered.,- .
Mr. Ross , Superintendent of the Sewage Disposal Plant, re-
quested four new heads for the gas engines at the plant. The
• Board authorized Mr. Ross to get prices on the heads and report
back to the Board.
A petition, signed by sixty-six residents near the South 7th -
Street park, was received by ,the Board requesting that the swings
not be erected in the park because of the noise and for the reason
that children are not permitted to ,use same by older boys and
girls and adults . The matter was referred tb. the Park Department .
After allowing claims in the amount of 0 ,/, s.5-9gs , upon
proper motion, the Board adjourned.
