"Board of Public Works April 5, 1946
City Building
Richmond, Indiana
Attention Mr. Simeon Hodgin
Gentlemen:
The Vestry of St. Paul' s Episcopal Church, N. 5th and A Sts.
ask that you establish a non-parking zone, or reasonable size, immediately
in front of the main church entrance .
At present this area is always completely filled with parked cars,
especially on Sundays , and in inclement weather it is next to impossible
to stop and safely discharge passengers in front of the church. With
this space open the vehicle could be driven close to the curb, elimin-
ating the present jamming of traffic on North A Street as well as the
hazard of accident to the individuals getting out of the automobile .
If there are no suitable signs available, at present, to mark off
this area , we believe that a yellow curb in front of the church would
serve to curtail the present parking.
Your early consideration of this request will be appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
VESTRY OF ST. PAUL' S
EPISCOPAL CHURCH
By Stanley F. Youngflesh"
