HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-01-1946 79 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY CITY OF RICIThIOND, INDIANA FRIDAY, MARCH 1, 1946 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday, I/ March 1, 1946 at 9 A .M. Present were Messrs . S . W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker and Winfield Urban; the following proceedings were had to wit : The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Fred Bishop appeared on behalf of the Home Telephone Co. and asked permission to extend the Richmond Home Telephone Co. offices over the alley, with a clearance of sixteen feet, onto said companyts garage located across the alley. This matter was referred to the Board for further- discussion. Street Commissioner Burkhardt reported that several residents at South 3rd and M Streets requested the City to observe condition of the Street at South 3rd and M. This was referred to the Bca rd as a Committee as, a whole . A petition was received by the Board requesting a street light at the corner of C- and Starr Streets , and another for a street light on South F St. between 8th and 9th Streets . Both requests were re- ferred to the Traffic Division and the City Engineer. After allowing claims in the amount of 5 607.49, upon proper motion, the Board adjourned. % Press e t Attest: Secretary The Board approved a request by Bert LamhPrt,Lot 909 North 19th Street to cut the curb to a width of 10 feet.
