OPTICE OF TIE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS
AND SAJ STY, CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIAN4
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 28, 1945 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday,
December 28, 1945 at 9:00 A.M. lylessrs . Earl Keisker, S. G . Hodgin,
and Winfield Urban being present, the following proceedings were
had to wit: -
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
A request was received from Mr. W. L. Magaw, which reads as
follows: -

"Ire wish to install a speaker system running from our office
on Hawkins Road to our garage and to our plant on the oppos-
ite side of the road. We have the equipment necessary for
this installation.
We are hereby requesting permission to extend the line across
Hawkins Road and will appreciate your usual prompt consider-
ation."
Mr. Hodgin moved and Mr. Urban seconded, and it was so ordered,
that the W. L. Magaw Company be allowed to install the speaker system
requested in their letter, providing the company complies with the
rules and regulations of the State of Indiana as to height of wire
over the road and providing further that their installation does not
interfere with the present installation of telephone, and telegraph or
fire department communication systems .
This being the last rleeting for the year 1945 for the Board of
Public Works and Safety, Mr . S . W. Hodgin was nominated and unanimous-
ly elected president for the year 1946 .
After allowing claims in the amount of 12,701 .65, upon proper
f motion, the Board adjocrned.
