Chief of Police Nov. 14, 1945
Bronchial asthma prevented me from finishing letter
started couple weeks ago. Because of fair assurance
of a good position in radio development as well as
school facilities available I feel it advisable to
remain here despite climatic conditions . I am truly
sorry that circumstances prevent my returning to
Richmond . The many kindnesses extended to me by you
and the Mayor are greatly appreciated and will long
be remembered. My warmest regards to you both--
