The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiaha, met in regular session in the office of the Board Friday September 7th. 1945 at 9:00 otclock A. M. Messrs . Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had, to'-wit: The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Superintendent Ross , of the Sewage Disposal Plant', advised that the new pumps at the Earlham Pump Station were working in a ,,satisfactory manner but that ;automatic switch controls should be installed to provide for alternate operation' of-the two pumps . He advised that suitable switch could be secured for a cost of not to exceed $85. After due considevation on° the part` of the Board Mr. Ross was authorized to order and install the desired switch. The City Clerk submitted the following from the minutes of `the September 3rd. meeting of the City Council.: "Councilman Marino recommends a traffic light be installed at North 12th. & F Streets in place of a flasher." "Councilman Hibberd recommends a traffic light be installed at 13th. & Main Streets ." -"Councilman Tracy recommends that a traffic light 'be installed at South 12th. & A Streets , on account of the school childred." These recommendations were referred to the Traffic Division; with instructions to investigate and report back, at the next meeting, with further recommendations. A petition was received from the Richmond 'Builders Inc. to have a six-inch(6" )water main installed in Cartwright Drive of the' Gardner Hillcrest Subdivision north fron Northwest B Street for 'a distance of 400 feet, to serve six new houses now to be constructed. On proper motion and second this installation was ordered and the clerk,instructed to notify the Water Company. Permission to cut the curb on Northwest 10th. Street, at Lots 157-1.58 Peacock 'Terrace -Addn. , was granted to William T. Bond.
