A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PUBLISH AN INVITATION
TO BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF: (1) VEHICULAR
PARKING SPACES ALONG FERNWOOD ROAD; (2) GOLF
CART PARKING SPACES ALONG WEST HEATHER DRIVE;
(3) A SIDEWALK ON FERNWOOD ROAD FOR THE
LENGTH OF THE FRONTAGE OF THE COMMUNITY
CHURCH; AND (4) A SIDEWALK ON GLENRIDGE ROAD
FROM W. HEATHER DRIVE TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE
COMMUNITY CHURCH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village of Key Biscayne (the "Village"), has adopted and funded a Capital
Improvements Plan (the "CIP") for fiscal year 2010-2011 in order to address the needs of the Village
residents; and
WHEREAS, the CIP provided for the construction of: (1) vehicular parking spaces along
Fernwood Road; (2) golf cart parking spaces along West Heather Drive; (3) a sidewalk on Fernwood
Road for the length of the frontage of the community church; and (4) a sidewalk on Glenridge Road
from W. Heather Drive to the entrance of the Community Church (Collectively, the
"Improvements"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to authorize the Village Manager to publish an
Invitation to Bid for the Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare
of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals Adopted. Each of the above stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Village Manager Authorized. The Village Manager is hereby authorized
to take any and all steps necessary to publish an Invitation to Bid for the construction of the
Improvements.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
