OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF ,RICHMOYD, INDIANA,
.FRIDAY , JUNE 29th, 1545
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the office of said Board Friday , .June 29th, 1945 at 9tO0 o'clock
A. M. --- Messrs. Earl Keisker,. S. W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being
present the following proceedings were had to-wit;

The minutes of the preceding were read and approved.
•
-On the recommendation of City Attorney Keisker the Board rejected the
request of Walter Test to establish bridle paths in "Glen Miller Park for the •
use of his customers who rent his horses from a location established near the
Park.
On the recommendation of Police Chief Duckett the Board authorized the
purchase of two motorcycles forthe use of the Police Departmentfor the
total sum of $ ' proper. adverti-sing having been made on January
10th & 17th, 1945, for the same and-there being no bids received the Board
authorized the Police Chief to locate same and -report to the Board.
• A report was presented to the Board in°regard to the un-sanitary con-
dition of the sewer which runs:Ante-an open -ditch located near' South 5th
& M. Streets , the same being referred to Sanitary. InSpector Smith and
City Engineer Hodgin for consideration.
City Engineer Hodgin was authorized to contact Mr. Charles Potter in
regard to the purchase_ of some ground adjoining the Street Department
Garage.

On the recommendation of the Traffic Division the Board authorized •
the xstallation of Overhead Lights at South 13th & E Streets North 19th
and ,treets with the lights purchased. from - roohvill4 , Indiana. •
The Board authorized the Clerk to notify Fred & Nora Gerstner living
at 512 South Sth Street to cut the 'weeds on Lot No g Sedgwick Place Add.,,
Don Bell and -ari
6, Patti appeared before the Board in the interest
of insurance for the City of Richmond.

After allowing claims in the amount of $ 18,719.71 on proper
motion the Board adjourned. -
