OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, JUNE OH, 1945.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana
met in the office of said Board, Friday , June 15th, 1945, at 9:00 o'clock
A. M. -- Messrs. Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being present
the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved;
Park Superintendent,Posther reported there had been a. delay in planting
some of the flowers in the parks due to pervious destruction within the
flower beds at the Parks and that the plants were removed soon after,they
were planted making a very undesireable condition, the Board recommended that
the press be given an account of the same and ask the co-operation of the
patrons living in the neighbor around the parks in the matter,
The Committee , whom the bids for the stoker at the Street Depfirtment
Garage were referred to reported and recommended that the .contract for
furnishing the said Stoker)re awarded to the Engineering Sales & Service
Co. for the sum of $913.98 in accordance with prrsal,. which the Board approved.
On the recommendation of the Fire Chief, Harry Williams ., the Board

approved the purchase of a new receiving set in the Chief's car.
On the recommendation of the Committee which the sae;had been referred
to , the Board approved the purchase of a receiving set for the truck known
as the pickup truck operated under the Health-Sanitation Department.
A report was presented to the Board in regard to the low limbs on a tree,
located in front of the property at 301 Southwest 5th Street and the Board
instructed the Clerk to give notice to the property owner to remove the
limbs sufficient for proper clearance.
After allowing claims in the amount of $17,072.12 on proper motion
the Board adjourned.
