The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, May llth, 19145 , at 9:00 o'clock A. M. --- Mrssrs. Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin & Winfield Urban being Present the following proceedings were had to-mit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The Board authorized the Clerk to make: proper advertising for bids for coal for the various departments of the City, and designated Fri- day , June 1st, .19145, at 9:30 o'clock-A. M. as the time for receiving of bids for the same. The following petition was prr,,.Pitted to the Board, from the Kenosha, Auto Transport Corporation, owner in fee simple of lots 30,31,32,33,50, 51,52, & 53 in Highland Addition to the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana,, respectfully petitions for the passages of a resolution providing for the vacation of the alley located between North 17th & North 1Sth Sts., between North "F" and North "G" Streets, of said City: said alley running in a North-South direction. Petitioner showes that the said alley does not extend , in either dir- ection , beyond the property above described; that both ends of said alley are " dead end". Petitioner further shows .that there are .no other parties of interest , to its knowledge and behalf , who will be adversely affected by such vacation and that such vacation will greatly increase petitioner's use of the Lots abutting said alley. WHEREFORE yorr petitioner respectfully requests the adoption and pass- age of such resolution. The petition was referred to the City Engineer and the Fire Chief for recommendation.
