OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
APRIL 13TH, 1945.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the office of the :Said-Board. "Friday April ljth, 194+5 at 9:00
o'clock A. M. -- Messrs, Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin & Winfield Urban
11/ being present the folloeing proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Friday , April 13th , 194+5 being the date designated by the Board
for the fixing of benefits and damages in the vacation of an alley
as mentioned in Declaratory Resolution No. 1-194+5 , and there being
no petitions or remonstrances filed , the Board resolves that there
are no benefits or damages except to the petitioners who agrees to
pay for publication and recording or any other expenses incurred in '
the vacation of the same.
The matter of the Golf House at .Glen-�Nia.ler:;Park=being'painted on the
outside , having been recommended by the Board of Park Commissioners
and referred to the Board of Works was further referred to the Park
Superintendent.
Proper advertising having been made in contacting three Companies
for bids and only receiving two bids as follows for equipment for the
use of the Sewer Disposal Plant, there as follows;
Merman H. Sticht Co. Inc. N. Y. City
One insulation Tester, range 0-1000, having 500 volts constand
pressure; complete with 6ft test leads and carrying case-----$271.00
One Insulation Tester , range 0-1000 having 500 volts constant pressure;
complete with Eft test leads and carrying case. $230.95
On the recommendation of the Disposal Plant Superintendent the Board
• approved the purchase of the said Insulation Tester in accordance w, th
their bid to the James G. Biddle Company for the sum of $230.95 V
After allowing claimes in the amount of $16,003.99 on Proper motion
the Board adjourned.
