OFFICE OF THE'BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND,IMDIANA,
APRIL 6TH, 1945.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said-Board Friday, April 6th,l9I.5,
at 9:00 o'clock A. M. --- Messrs. Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin,and
Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Harry Williams the Board approved
the permanent appointment of Lewis H. Ellis as City Fireman he having
served the usual probationary period of 6 momths. , effective Aprilrl6th,
1945.
Due to the fact that proper advertising had been made for bids for
one one-half'ton truck for the use of the Park Department and no bids
were received at that time the Board now approved the purchase of ane
one-half ton Ford Truck from the Wallar Motor Co. for the sum of
$9g0.00 with a refund of the Federal Tax on the same.
On the recommendation of the Street Commissioner the Board approved
the purchase of added ejuipment:to)h&.Material Mixer':.such As -Skip
for the sum of $232.50'and $16.00 for oxtensin track also extra wheels
for the sum of $25.00. ,/
After allowing claims in the amount od $9,576.73 on proper motion
the Board adjourned.
