The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board Friday, March 2nd, 1945, at 9:00 A. M. -- Messrs. Earl Keisker, S. W. Hodgin & Winfield Urban, being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The following petition was presented to the Board; • The undersigned , Wayne Dairy Products Inc. , an Indiana Corporation, and Earl Bullerdich , represent that they are the owners of all the real. - estate-abbuting on an alley in the City of Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, said alley beginning on the West Line of South 6th Street in said City at the Southeast corner of Lot Number 119 in John Smith's Addition to said City , and extending westerly 132 feet to the Southwest Corner of said Lot; thence running South 10 feet to the Northwest corner of lot 120 in said John Smith's Addition; running thence Easterly 132 feet to the Northwest corner of lot 120; thence North to the place of beginning. Said petitioners represent that said alley is ten feet in width , is not improved , and is of no public benefit and is a source of nuisance and requires policing- and maintenance at public expense. • That said alley is not necessary to the growth of said City of Richmond and vacation thereof will not cut off the public .access to any church, school or public buildings , and if vacated will not leave the real estate of any person within such City without ingress or egress to or from such real estate by means of a public way or street. Signed Earl Bullerdick The Board ordered. a Declaratory Resolution be prepared in regard to the vacation of the said alley and presented to the Board at the next reg- ular meeting. • In as much as there was no bids submitted on on the Clayton Check Valves for the use of the Disposal Plant when bids were submitted for other material the Board_authorized. that the same be purchased whereever available9 at the lowest price.---, On the recommendation of City Engineer Hodgin the Board approved the cutting of trees by Nelson Eaton 331 South 1/rd Street. After allowing claims in the amount of $5,523.26 on proper motion the Board adjourned. President Attest• Clerk of The o xd
