The Board of Public Wor'�s and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board , Friday, October 20th,
l01 , at 9:00 o'clock A. H. --- Winfield. Urban, Earl Keisker and
S. H. H0dgin being rresent the following nroc.'-edings were had to-wit;

On the recommendation of Street Commissioner Burkhardt the Board.
instructed the Clerk to nrcceed with the rr.c er advertising for bids

Southwest 16th street and
The Board desianated Friday November 3rd 1.9Ii4 as 9' 70 A. Y. as the
time for the receiving of bids for the furnishing of the same.
The Road recommended that a r. eauest for the installation of a
light at N_W 2& H streets be kert on file until after the war when
material would be available.
a renort was rrresented to the Board, in rega.rd, to the con-jested
condition of traffic at Washington Avenue and. the Pennsylvania Rail
Road which has been created by -narking of -ors on the Smith Side of
Washington Avenueto close to the North Eighth Street Intersection .
The same being referred to the Traffic Division.
A renort was presented to the Board which had been referred from.
t+^e Common Council in regard to students rushing onto the T'dhitewater
boulevard at time of the dismissal of School instead of using the side-
walks which creates a dangerous condition in regard to traffic at that
location. The same Was referred to the Traffic Division for a renort
