CITY OF RI.CHMOND,INDIANA,
FRIDAY ,AUGUST 25TH,l944 •
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana., met in the office of said. Board. , Friday , August 25th,
III 1944, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. --- Messrs. Winfield Urban Earl Heisker
and S. W. Hodgin being present the .following rr.oceedings were had
to—wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and. approved.
A letter was rresented to the Board from Robert M. Johnston,County
Chairman of the Democrat'Party, reouesting permission to place a banner
across South 6th Street in the first square in connection with the
Democrat Headquarters. Mr. Johnston stated he had arranged torsecu'e
Public Liability andl-:rronerty'da.mage insurance in the sum of 45,000.
also had rermission from both property owners involved.
On,the;.recommendation of City Attorney Keisker the Board approved
the renuest of Mr. Johnston provided he furnish proof of policy, in
the sum of amount mentioned.
After allowing claims in the amount of $12,050.52 on proper motion
the Board. adjourned.
