CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, AUGUST 1gTH, 1914.
The Board. of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board., Friday, .August lgth, 1944,
at 9=CD o'clock A. M. -- Messrs. Winfield. Urban, Earl Keisker and
S. W, Hod.gin being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Fire Chief Harry Williams stated to the Board that the, Inter-
- iiat16nal Fire Chief's Association would be held in Grand Rapids Mich-
igan the last four days of August, 1944 and rec?uested permission to
attend the same which was unanimously approved.

On the recommendicn of the Fire Chief the Board approved the
tem'»racy--appdintment7of''.LeWis-H.•Ellis,-a:s7City Fireman at a salary
of $1g5.0O ner month effective September 1st, 1944.
After allowing claims in the amount of $15,367.30 on proper
motion the Board adjourned;
