TUESDAY;_"APRIL 18TH, 1944 ,.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in Special Session in the office of the said Board,
Friday , April 1Sth, 1944, at 9!00 o'clock A. M. --• Winfield Urban
Earl Keisker and S. W. Hodgin being present the following proceedings
were had to-wit;

The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Williams the Board the app-
roved a leave of absence to Malvern Price from the Fire Department
for the purpose of entering the Armed. @arviee of'the:.U. "S..' Government;
effective April 2Oth; 1944. .
•
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Harry Williams the Board approved
the temporary appointment of John F. Watkins as a City Fireman at a salary
of $185.00-per month effective April 17th, 1944 .
After =allowing claims in the amount of $ 14,655.09 on proper motion
the Board adjourned.
