OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
JANUARY 28TH, 1944.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday , January 2Sth,
1944, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. - -Messrs. Winfield Urban, Earl Keisker
and S. W. Hodgin being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
• The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
The Board having recommended that proposals be presented to it
fors- consideration for an Air Compressor for the use of the Police
Department, proposals being as follows;
QUEEN CITY SUPPLY CO.
Model C-22-V Wayne Air Compressor equipped with a z H. P. electric
motor-2.2 CPM 150. lbs. maximum pressure; 2 cylinder , 30'gallon vertical '
tank, 110 volt single phase, 60 cycle AC motor.

The Board referred the bids to a committee composed of City Engineer
Hodgin, Chief of Police Duckett and City Controller Urban for tabulation
and recommendation and efter due consideration the committee recomended
that the Air Compressor be purchased from Miller Bros, Hardware Store for
thessum of $110.00 as the low bid did not meet with the required specifi-
cations.
Mr. Ray Stevens appeared before the Board and discussed matters
pertaining to the installation of Traffic Lights at North 5th & D Streets
and at the intersection of Sheridan Street & Richmond Avenue to be used
at varionc times as such traffic demands and the Board recommended that
proposalsformswithr,speaificatiohe.,be sent to at least three dealers in
such material and their proposals be presented to the Board for consid-
eration.
After allowing claims in the amount of $L3,9$7.95 on proper
