The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of- said Board. -, Friday , January 7th, 194ff, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. --Messrs. Winfield Urban, Earl Keisker and S. W. Hodgin being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes od the preceding meeting were read and approved. ' Proposals for the furnishing of a ladder for the use of the Fire Department were presented to the Board as follows; SEAGARVE CORPORATION 1 30 ft. Truss ladder extension F. 0. B. Columbus , Ohio. Elmira, N. Y. $150.00 The bids were referred to Fire Chief Harry Williams and City Controller,Winfield Urman for tabulation and recommendation. There having been no bids presented for cars for the use of the Police Department on the date designated by the Board for the receiving of bids for the same, the Board, instructed the Chief of. the Police to locate a car and report to the Board and the following bid was presented; 'White-Alden Chevroletlnc. The Board approved the recommendation of the Committee and authorized the purchase of the. 19442 Chevrolet as specified. Mr. Ross reported the Insurance Co. had taken care of the re- placement of a small boiler at the Disposal Plant in the sum of $9S.00 Street Comm. Meyers presented an annual report on collection of 11/ Trash & Garbage. After allowing claims in the amount of $ 309258.7$ on pro- per the Board adjourned.
