OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,
DECEMBER 10th, 1943
The Board of Public Works and 'Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
met in the office of said Board, Friday , December 10th, 1943, at 9:00
o'clock A. M. --- S. W. Hodgin and Winfield Urban being present the
following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Milton Blirod and Benjamin Harris appeared before the Board in
regard to legal advertising in the News Shopper.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the CoCa Cola Co. located at 110
West Main Street to di-continue dumping waste material along and West
•of the Whitewater Boulevard Drive South of th Pennsylvania R. R.
A bid was presented to the Board from the Royer Foundry & Machine
Co. Kingston , Penn. for a girt Shredder for the use of the Park Dept.
as follows;
Model "NSB-2" Royer Sludge Disintegrator , with a capacity pf 3 to 6
cubic yards per hour, and equipped with 110/220 volt , single phase , 60
cycle motor, or 220/440 volt, 3 phase ,60 cycle motor, starting switch,
and 25 ft.of extension cord. Price- $402.50
Model "NSB-4 " Royer Sludge Disintegrator , with a capacity of 3 to 6
cri.bic yards per hour, and equipped with 110/220 volt , eingle:-phase.,60?
cycle motor, or 220/440 volt, 3 phase 60 cycle motor, starting switch
and 25 ft. of extension cord. Price $42$.00
Model "NSH" Royer Sludge Disintegrator , with a capacity of 3 to 6
cubic yards per hour, and equipped with 2H. P. Gasoline Engine.
Price $63S.00
The bid was taken under further advisement .
On the recommendation of City Engineer Hodgin the Board approved an
extension of -the sewer from the tap on lot No. 61 Ravinia::Park Addition
by'Georgeu.Lanier fop_'the-sofa of'mwm-$30.00,bbthh properties being owned
by thersaid_property owner.
Friday , December 10th, 1943 , being the date designated by the Board
for the receiving of bids for material for the installation of lockers
and etc. at the Base Ball Park , there being no bids presented, the matter
was taken under further advisement.
After allowing claims in the amount',of $1,110.S0 on proper motion
the Board. adjourned. `
