OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY , OCTOBER 15th,1913
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
• Indiana met in the office of said Board , Friday, October 15th,19)43
at 9:00 o'clock A. M. -- Messrs. S. W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker and
Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had
to-wit; •
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.

After some discussion in regard to the bicycle; rack located at
north Ninth Street being broken at the North end of rack,c6fteny
cars attempting to park in that location, the Board recommended that
• the bicycle racks be moved North near the alley intersection which
would prohibit the parking of cars in that location.
On the recommendation of Park Superintendent Joseph Frisby the
Board approved the cutting of trees by the following property owners
John Mervin No. 24 Northwest E Street, George A. Cutter South 18th and A
Streets, Charles G. Hunt 208 South 7th Street, Mrs Lec L. Matlack 214
South 16th Street and Robert E. Heun 2019 Main Street.
The Board unanimously approved a plat of ground for the construction
of houses located at Easthaven Avenue and Collins St . also Southwest C
Street presented by Carl Hawkins .
On the recommendation of• Ci,ty Engineer Hodgih the. Board approved_
a- tap in the sewer.'at Northwest llth and Main Street by Charles Travis
all installation to be made by affected property owner also to bear the
expense of repairing the Street at that location.
After allowing claims in the amount of $4,414+.35 on proper motion
the Board adjourned. /]
