The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, September 24th, 1943, at 9:00 o 'clock A. M. -. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker, and Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had to-wit: The minutes of the preceding were read and approved. A request to cut the curb• .to a width of 18 feet -was granted to W. W. Kehlenbrink , lot No.24 Jeremiah Cox Addition on the South side of North A. Street. City Engineer Hodgin presented a report showing the War Production Board had dis-approved the improvement of curb and sidewalk on North west 16th Street in accordance with Improvement Resolution No2-1943. A petition was presented to the Board signed by Eight interested citizens requesting the construction of a cement alley East of North loth Street from North I to North J Streets. A petition was also presented to the Board signed by 13 interested citizens_ requesting the construction off a cement alley between:South 11'th and 15th Streets from Sout# b' Street to South G. Street:. Both Of the petitions were referred to City Engineer Hodgin for consideration. The matter of an obstruction by cars being parked on Sheridan Street near the West End of the Doran Bridge which obstructs the view of traffic comming from the North on Sheridan Street was referred to the Traffic Division for consideration. The matter of granting further privileges to property owners abbuting to the property occupied by the Street Department Garage in-the way of entrance to their garages was rejected by the Board. A report was presented to the"_Boa-rd as referred from Council by the Committee on Public Property Sewers Streets and Alleys in regard to the bad condition on Harris Street and Northwest K Street, the same being referred to the Street Department. Sept,. 2 4,1943 Friday being the date designated by the Board for the receiving of 11/ bids for furnishing 11,000 warrents for the use of the Controller, bids being as follows: NICHOLSON PRINTING CO: 11,000 Warrants in Triplicate- five on sheet-:printed on green 201b 50% rag content bond, Price116.75 • Warrants - same specifications as above- on 201b 25% rag content bond $113.75 J.
