OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, SEPTPMBtER 10th, 1943,
The Board of Public Works and Safetyof the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board. , Friday, September 10,
1943, at 9:00 o'clock A. M, -- S. W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker and
Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had
to:wit;
The minutes of the preceding were read and approved; -
Board.
The approved the painting of the tower and building at the
Police Radio Station specifications for the same to be prenared.
by City Engineer Hodgin.
The Board approved the installation of an g inch Sewer on
North 15th Street from J. North to the river all expenses to be
Paid by the affected property owners, the same being at the r.enuest
of rertha. Cosby 1007 North 15th St.
On the recommendation of City Engineer Hodgin the Board approved
a tap in the the Sanitary Sewer between Richmond Avenue & Randolph
Street nrcvid.ing the affected property owners install an g inch Sewer
to the same. -
On the recommendation of City Controller Urban the Board designated
September 24th at 9: 30 A. M. o 'clock as- the time for the receiving of
prorosals for the furnishing of 12,000. warrents for the use of the
Controller, proper advertising to be made for the same.
Friday September 10th, 1943, being the date designated by the
Board for the receiving of bids for the furnishing of g new tires
for the use of the Street Deportment , -the bids axe .as follows;

Mr. Keis'7.er moved that the bids be referred to a Committee
comnos,ed. of City Engineer, Controller & Street Commissioner for
tabulation and recommendation and after due consideration the
Committee recommended that the contract for furnishing the ti..res
be awarded 'tee-Sears Robuck & Comno.ny as -presented in their bid
for the total sum of $30h. S6, which the Board unanimously anuroved.
The fill owin letter was rresented to the Board from the Shell
Oil Co.

Due to the General nice increase in the oil industry,
it becomes necessary to increase your gasoline price three quarters
of a cent -, which makes your. price Ter gallon net.
