AWARDING BID FOR
ANNUAL SEWER SYSTEM EMERGENCY SERVICE CONTRACT

WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for the Annual
Sewer System Emergency Service Contract; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received four (4) bid proposals for the
Annual Sewer System Emergency Service Contract as follows. .

1. Montana Construction Corp., Inc. $ 74.226.85
2. J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, file. $ 92.465.35
3. B & W Construction Co. of NJ, Inc. $ 85.399.23
4. Reivax Contracting $ 126.179.00
WHEREAS, Montana Construction Corp.. Inc. has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with the
I Borough Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended
the award of a contract to Montana Construction Corp., Inc., in a total amount not to exceed
$74,226.85, er attached award letter; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Montana Construction Corp., Inc. of Lodi, N.J. for Annual
Sewer System Emergency Services as described above for the sum of
$74,226.85 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and
bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department and Borough Director of Engineering.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval
from the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour
Compliance.
