The Board of Pablic Works and safety of the City of Richmond,
indiana, met. in the office of said. Beard, June ? th, 1943, a.t
9'00 o'clock L. M, --S, W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker and, 1,anfield Urban
being rresent the following proceedings were had tc-Vitry
The minutes of the rreeeding were read and a.nnreved_;
Mr. Pay Stevens Superintendent of the City Light Plant w s
rresent end requested permission to to construct a high tension
line running from the Light Plant elope- suehealieys. and. streets= on
the West ttcie of the City to the West corporate l.i ne,all as shown
in a plah resented to the Board,for the purpose of connecting
with the inner-connection system no being installed west of the (qty.
After due consideration the Board arproved the construction of
® the high tension l.i.nes running along sueh alleys and streets as
shown in plan presented to the Board June 25th, 1943 e a copy of
such elan, to be filed in the office of the City Clerk.
Ed Ross Surerintendent of the Disrosa.l Plant rerorted. Game Warden
1 ter'-sbl7ry and erenresenta.tive of the State Board of Health had offered
a comrle,int in regard to the the condition of the sanitary sewers at
SouthrH Street Starr Piano Co. Garden Street Sewer and at State and
Sheridan Streets.
On the recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett the Board
accented the resignation of Richard Madden.. , Police Radio Operator
effective July 1st, 1943.
A. complaint was 'resented to the Board by Councilman Frank Wilkins
in regard to the parking of automobiles on the sidewalk along Weshi.nn-
ton Avenue, the same being referred to the Traffic Division.
A comnla.i.nt was presented to the Board in regard to the sidewalks
going bac%by Reber.t H,DAvirson located at 115 Southwest 17th; Street
and City Engineer Hodgin stated the sidewalks were installed under a
W. P. A , Project and the City vas under no obligation, that it was
UP-to the nronerty owners where such nro jests were involved.
The Board approved a reouest of Frank peters to tap into the Sanitary
Sewer located. near South 16th a.nd. Q. Streets pursuant to on ea.sment egree-
men} entered into by the City on Sertember 2f , 1.93g,
n. letter was rresented to the Board. from the Johnston Sheet Metal
Co. requesting attention 12re given to the drai rage condition in an'. un-
made alleyuest of 6th Street between T & J Streets, the same being refe
referred to City Engineer Hodgin for consideration.
