OFFICE OF TH2 BOARD OF VORKS
CITY OF RICIHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, MAY 21st, 194+3
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, May 22 st,.-1943,
at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. .S. W. Hodgin, Earl.Keisker and
Winfield Urban being present the following proceedings were had
to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved,
A letter was presented to the Board from the Matlack Insurance
Agency stating ; You will be pleased to know that Boiler and Machinery
rates were reduced effective May 1st, 1943, and you will receive the
benefit of this reduction in rate on the City Boilers.
The Board unanimously approved the following resolution; That pur-
suant to House Bill No. 25 passed by the General Assembly of the State
of Indiana in its 1943 Session and approved March 5th, 1943 that each
Bond or certified check filed by bidders seeking to furnish supplies
to the City of Richmond shall be in a sum equal to 5% of the total of
such bid.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 9,362.87 on proper
motion they adjourned,
