The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board , May loth, 1943 a:t 9:00
o'clock A. M. --S. W. Hodgin, Earl Keisker and Winfield Urban
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit°
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Harry Williams the Board
a-nnroved a leave of absence from the Fire Deportment for. Harlan
Brown who has been called into- the services of the Armed Farces of
the.Un3.ted States Government effective May 13th, 19113,
Fire Chief Harry Williams -recommended that the vacancy be
filled on the Fire Department as soon as possible on account of the
vacation periods starting soon.
Edwin Ross Superintendent of the Sewer Di_srosel Plant gave a
report on the ouarterlY meeting of the Disposal Plant Superintendents_
held et Camp Attabary May--- th, 1943.
The Traffic Division recommended that there be nO, no parking
zone established on on Elm Street in the rear of 413 North s;th street.
The matter of a. fill in on lots aimed by E. A. Mariana located
along Southwest 14th Street which stopped.. the outlet of a drain tile
effecting other property located in that neighborhood the same being
referred to City Engineer Hodgin and the Clerk was instructed to notify
E. A. Meriani of same.
After allowing claims in the amount of $3,3g0.02 nn proper
motion they adjourned. //
