HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-04-1942 346 OFFICE OF THE BOA`D OF WORKS CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, PBIDAY, DECEMBER 4TH, 1942. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City. of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board Friday, December 4th, 1942 at 9:00 o°clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield Urba. ., S. W. Hodgin and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. On the account of the Municipal League Oonvention at Indianapolis 'being in session on the date of the regular Board meeting Friday Dec- ember llth which members of the Board expect to attend, the Board resolved that the next meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, December 14th at 9:00 o°clock A. M. The Board instructed Mr. Eadler the Building Inspector to pur- chase the necessary material and procede with the installation of storm windows for the front of the City Building. The Board unanimously approved the following Resolution; Be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that; BECAUSE OF THE VAR EMERGENCY, THE WAYNE WORKS Mfg. Co. be permitted to erect 'a. temporary -loading platform alongside its building on North 15th Street between North F and North G Streets with the understanding that the City of Richmond have the privelege of giving ten days notice to the Wayne Works for the removal thereof and further that said Wayne Works provide proper lighting for said loading platform for protection of the public and that the City Clerk send a copy of this motion to the President •of the Wayne Works. The matter of parking cars imediately South of the Pennsylvania Wracks on North 6th Street creating a':hazardous condition for the South.Bound Traffic was referred to the Traffic Division for a report later, _ After allowing claims in the amount of S6,224.51 om proper motion they adjourned© _ President Attest; Clerk of t e oa d.
