FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th, 194+2
The Board of Public Work e and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met i:n the office of said Board , Friday, Nobember, 13th,
1942, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield Urban S. W. Hodgin
and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had
to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Harry Williams the Board
approved the temporary appointment of James Jefferies as a City
Fireman to serve the usual probationary period of six months for
the sum of $145.00 per month bffective:.'ZOVember `16th, 1942. _
The Board approved a lease to H. B. Highley for a portion of
ground owned by the City of Richmond, Indiana, located on the South -
side of Richmond AveAnue near the West end•of the Doar Bridge and
instructed the City ttorney to prepare the same with a.copy of
the Plat attached which appears in the City Engineers Office.
The Board approved a no parking zone be established south of
the Post Office Entrance on North 9th Street a distance of 30ft
for the purpose of citizens who wish to deposit mail in a box which
has been installed for such.
After allowing claims in the amount of $6, 5‘Z5.79 on proper motion
they adjourned. '
