The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana9 met in the office of said Board, Friday, October 30th, 1942, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield Urban, S. W. Hodgin and Earl Keisker Being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The Board approved an extension and a bell from the telephone at the Disposal Plant to be used for emergency calls in the matter of Civilian Defense program. The ratter of renting city propErty located near the West End_ of the Doran Bridge to He B. Highley was referred to the City Engineer for consideration and report. - A request to cut the curb to a width of 10 feet was granted to Walter Squires representing the School City of Richmonds located at Southwest First and E Streets, A request to cut the curb to a width of 5 feet was granted to Charles Trimble for-the purpose of widening a driveway located at 164 Ft. Wayne Avenue. . .., r� After allowing claims in the amount of $6,396.44 on proper motion they adjourned. The Board unanimously approved the installation of a 6' .inch Water Main In Northwest D Street from Northwest 9th Street to Northwest llth Street and in Northwest 9th Street from Richmond, Avenue to Northwest D Street and install a fire hydrant at .each end of the line on North- west D Street. -z7d President • Attest; Clerk of t e Board. .
