The Board of Public Works and.Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met in the office of said Board, Friday, October 23, 19112 at 9: O,o°clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield Urban, S. W. Hodgin and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. On the recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett the Board av-orovec3 the appointment of Miss Margeret Frances Briscoe as tempor- ary Police Radio,-,Operator at a salary of $125.00 per month effective October. /PA-1942. A complaint was presented to the Board by Fay Simmons in regard to the parking conditions existing on the East Side of South Sth Street South of L- Street , the same being referred to the Tx/attic Division for a report later. A request for a light to be installed at the intersection of South 16th and F Streets was unanimously approved by the Board. Friday October 23rd being the date designated by the Board for the receiving of bids for serious kinds of scrap metal and the proper publication having been made the.bide were presented as follows; SAM JAFFE COMPANY: Scrap Iron $13.20 per net ton Heavy Yellow Brass 4 per lb.
