The Board of Public Works and §afety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board , Friday, September lgth
1942, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield. Urban, S. W. Hodgin
and Earl. Keisker being present the following proceedings were had
to-wit;
The reading of the minutes. of the preceding meeting was dis=
nensed with .
• Mr. Meyers, Street Commissioner reported the Garbage collection
was much above normal stating 14+5 tons were collected last week.
A request by Mr. Ed' Ross, Superintendent of the Disposal Plant
to atten'd,alo.ng with the Chemist at the Plant a meeting of the
members of 'the Indiana Sewerage Association at Peru, Indiana, was
unanimously approved by the Board.
On the recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett the Board
a.anroved the a.nnointment of C. Ralph Smith as Special Police Officer

Salary-being $135.00 per month effective September 15th, 1942.
The Board approved and accepted the resignation of Harold Snyder
from the Police Department who has accePted employment with the
Perfect Circle Co, the same effective as of September 15th, 1942.
After allowing claims in the amount of $8,998.21 on proper
motion they adjourned.
