The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board , Friday , September 4th, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. Winfield Urban, S. W. Hodgin and Earl Keisker being present the following roceedings were had to- wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. A request to cut the curb to a width of 10 Feet was granted to - Fred Throcicnorton, Lot No. 93, Jenkins Addition. On the recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett the Board approved the appointment of Paul Andrews as Police Radio Operator at a Salary of $135.00 per month. The matter of removing a tree located at Southwest Sth Street and National Road was referred to City Engineer Hodgin and Street Commiss- ioner Meyers. A report was given by Ramsey Mc Donald on the meeting of the Association of Police Communication Officers at Kokomo, Indiana. City Attorney Keisker moved , that Robert Hudson be notified by the Clerk of the Board to instruct his employees at his various theatres in the City to notify the customers who park their bycycles on the sidewalks in front of the same,to use the bycycle racks on South 7th Street cr North 9th, Street.
