The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, August 7th, 1942, at 9:00 olclock, A. M. Messrs.. Winfield Urban S. W. Hodgin and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had tom wit; The reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. The matter of signs being placed giving notice to drivers on Northwest I Street and other such streets in Fairview was referred to the Chief of Police and the Street Commissioner for recommendation. A request to cut the curb to a width of 10 feet was granted to William M. Hallock9 Lot No. 114 Jenkins addition. Steet Commissioner Meyers c-a a. report on the collection of t • Garbage. stating for the. month of, July , 1942; 373.51 hundredths tons were collected in comparison with 2s3.71 during the same period for 19 41. Mr. Eadler Building Inspector reported a heat controlling unit need4K to be installed on the furnace at the City Building at an. estimate cost of between $150. & $200.00 dollars and recommended the same be insalled,which the Board unanimously approved.
