OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
AUGUST 7TH, 1942.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, August 7th, 1942,
at 9:00 olclock, A. M. Messrs.. Winfield Urban S. W. Hodgin and
Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had tom
wit;
The reading of the minutes of the preceding meeting were read
and approved.
The matter of signs being placed giving notice to drivers on
Northwest I Street and other such streets in Fairview was referred
to the Chief of Police and the Street Commissioner for recommendation.
A request to cut the curb to a width of 10 feet was granted to
William M. Hallock9 Lot No. 114 Jenkins addition.
Steet Commissioner Meyers c-a a. report on the collection of
t • Garbage. stating for the. month of, July , 1942; 373.51 hundredths tons
were collected in comparison with 2s3.71 during the same period for
19 41.
Mr. Eadler Building Inspector reported a heat controlling unit
need4K to be installed on the furnace at the City Building at an.
estimate cost of between $150. & $200.00 dollars and recommended
the same be insalled,which the Board unanimously approved.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 7,79S/ C17on proper
motion they adjourned.
