The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,-,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, June 26th, 1942
at 9:00 A. M. S. W. Hodgin .arid Earl Keisker being present the :foll-
owing proceedings were had to-wit; •
The minutes' of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of-City Engineer. Hodgin the Board app 11/
-
roved the installation of a light on Southwest 3rd Street between
C & D Streets.
The matter of problems pertaining to defense preparation by -
the various departments was discussed by the Board.
On the recommendation of the Traffic Division the Board ordered
that the North Side of North F Street between North 15th Street and
North 17th Street be designated as a no -parking zone and the South
Side of North F Street from the Rail Road Spur Track East to North
16th Street be designated as a no parking zone and that signs be
placed in..the said zones designating them as such.
A letter was presented to the Board from the Citizens Mutual
Fire Insurance Co. calling attention to the traffic hazard created
on South B Street between 7th and Sth Streets owing to the narrow
street at that location, the same being referred, to the Traffic
Division.
A letter was presented to the Board from Will.lamc-G. Bate -repre-
senting the School City of Richmond, Indiana; as follows;
For the Board of School Trustees and the School City of Rich-
mond, I am writing to .notify you of the desire of the School City
to renew and continue the contract for the occupancy and use of
Civic Hall as a part of the Senior High School Plant, for the year
August 1st, 1942 to July 31, 194, all in accordance with the terms
of the existing original contract dated AAril 3,' 1939.

After allowing claims in the amount of $ 4, 014.09 on
proper motion they adjourned.
