OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF.RI-CHMOND,INDIANA,
FRIDAY, JUNE 12th., 1942
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday June 12th, 1942
at 3:30 P. M. in Special Session , Winfield Urban, S. W. Hodgin.
and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings-were had
to-wit;
Mr. Urban PreSident'iof the Board called the meeting to order
stating the purpose of the Special Session was for accepting the
resignation of a City Fireman and.'.appointing another.
The following letter was presented to the Board ;
I wish to submit my resignation as of June 15th, 1942, as I
wish to take up other work.
James Hill
The Board unanimously accepted the resignation of James
Hill from the City Fire Department.
Mr. Keisker moved that the minion in a previous meeting of
June 5th, 1942, appointing Sam Pollivar as City Fireman. temporarly.-
to fill the vacancy created by Robert Weller being called to the
service of the U. S. Government be revoked , Withl-a tecond. the
motion was unanimously approved.
The following resolution was unanimously adopted b ' the Board
WHEREAS, James Hill has resigned effective June 15th, 1942, as a
member of the Richmond Fire Department, I move that Sam Polivar
be appointed a probationary Fireman on said Fire Department, at a
salary of $145.00 per month during his probationary period effective
June 16th, 1942.
Mr. Keisker moved that Fire Chief Harry Williams be granted
permission to replace City Fireman Rolf Wadman in case he is called
into the service of the U. S. Army, wit a second the motion was
unanimously approved.
There being no other business to preform on proper motion they
adjourned.
