The Board of Public Works and §afety of the City of Ridhmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, June 12th, 1942, at 9:00 o°clock A. M. .Winfield Urban, S, W. .Hodgin and Earl .Keisker being present the dollowing proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Stanley Smith appeared before the Board in regard to a low place in the intersection of South 15th and H Streets which created a pool of water during rainy spells. The matter was refe- rred to City Engineer and Street Commissioner for recommendation. Mr. C. E. Hivnor and Mr. George Wessel appeared before the Board in regard to the condition of the cement breaking up in the. alley between 'Southwest 1st and Southwest 2nd Streets running South from National Road to South D Street, the same being referred to City Engineer and Street Commissioner for definite action. Mr. John W. Behenen located on R. R. No. 3 New Paris Pike appeared before the Board in regard to the rates for stalls, at the Market House,. stating he would be willing to pay the same rate on a weekly basis as those who rent on an annual basis of $50.25 per year; but objected to paying the rate of $1.50 per week for a stall . during his crop season , which had been established by the Board on the recommepda.tion of the Mnrket Master. The Board referred the matter to the ! arket Master wFTo was present and he recommended that the rate be continued as already established,which was unanimously approved by the Board. Mr. Roland Loehr appeared before the Board in regard to the debris :red the walls left standing created by the fire which destroyed the Building formerly occupied by the Penny Store 719 and 723 Main St- reet,stating the walls were in a dangerous condition and the dust which would be created in removing the same later would damage their equ'ppment inside their store which is now being repaired and replaced, the matter was taken ender consideration by the Board. A request was presented to the Board by the Wayne Works Corporation located at 15th and North F Streets to establish a no -parking zone on the North side of North F Street from 15th to 17th Streets and from the RailRoad Spur Track On the South side of North F Street East to North 16th Street, the same being referred to the Traffic Division.
