OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, MAY 29th, 1942.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, Only 29, 1942
at 9:00 A. M. Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the
following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved.
Mr. I. J. Holler appeared before the Board in regard to the
parking of cars all day in front of his properties located at
3l4 & 316 North 15th Street stating it was impossible for tenants
living in these properties to unloadcoal or any other services
which required the use of the street entrance. The Board discussed
the matter and referred the; same to the Traffic Division.
Ramsey MCDonald. Chief RadioOperator appea.H ed before the Board
requesting the Board for approve •temitsions:fnM'o attend a Convention
including Radio Operators in regard to matters of defense at Huning®
ton, Iridia.na.The Board unanimously approved the same.
On the recommendation of Police Chief Duckett, the Board-i.ordered
the extension of the No Parking Zones,the .lehgthof one car on both
sides of North 16th Streets running North from.Main Street.
A complaint from Mervin Denton located on the New Paris Pike
in regard to the bad condition of a Sewer near that location was
referred to the City Engineer and the Street Commissioner.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 6,932.76 on pro-
per motion they adjourned.
